Does CBD work for my health issue?
The FDA does not permit us to make any health claims. However, we have MANY customers who swear by these products and use them month after month for their conditions. There is a lot of info and social media groups who support CBD for various health conditions like fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, arthritis and so much more. You can research these sites for first hand accounts of people's use of CBD and CBG products.
Are Hemp CBD products legal where I live?
As long as you live in the USA, the answer is yes. With the signing of the 2018 Hemp Farming Act, hemp was removed from the controlled substances list. It is important to note that in order for it to qualify under this act, the hemp must be below 0.3% THC (the psychoactive ingredient that causes someone to get high), which is normally the case with hemp. So, to summarize: all CBD products originating from hemp that is less than 0.3% THC are legal in the United States. There are some states that put some types of restrictions on types of products and such, so it is best to contact your local authorities for these state to state variations.
Hemp CBD products are legal in many other countries, too. However, there are some that still do not permit these products. Because of this, we ship only within the United States.
Will I get high if I take any of your products?
Because all Highland Pharms CBD products are made using hemp extract that are naturally below 0.3% thc, no one has ever reported getting "high" from them.
Why does Buena Vida Botanicals predominantly carry only Highland Pharms products?
After exhaustive research, we have determined that Highland Pharms consistently provides the highest quality and cleanest hemp CBD products made in the USA. Additionally, they provide 3rd party tests for every product. Equally important is that they use full spectrum extract in the making of their products. Some brands put only CBD that has been isolated out of the extract (aka CBD isolate), but Highland Pharms infuses the full extract into their products. So, not only do the products have the stated amount of CBD in them, they also have all the other naturally occurring plant compounds and phytonutrients which provides a much more well-rounded effect.
When will my order ship?
We ship all orders no later than the next business day. If your order is received early enough, it may even ship the same day. When your order ships, you'll receive an email indicating the order has shipped plus tracking information.
How fast is the "free shipping"?
All orders under $75 ship USPS First Class Mail, which is typically 3-10 business days throughout the US per the Post Office. All orders $75 and over ship USPS Priority Mail which is typically 2-3 business days throughout the US per the Post Office. Regardless which shipping level your order qualifies for, you'll have the option of upgrading your shipping during your checkout.
Which CBD product should I order? Which works best?
In some ways, this is a very simple question and some ways, it's very in depth.
Typically, all the product types (drops, capsules, gummies) work the same as they all have the same main ingredient: CBD rich hemp extract. However, some people's body reacts differently to one form versus the other. There is no scientific explanation for this. So, like the next question/answer - some experimentation may be required.
Most products are available in various strengths. So, like the drops are available in a 30ml bottle with either 250mg of CBD in the bottle, 500mg of CBD in the bottle or 1250mg of CBD in the bottle (Max+).
Ultra+ and 15k+ are each in 100ml bottles. So, for example, the 500+ and Max+ are exactly the same products except the Max+ is more concentrated and so you would take fewer drops to get the same number of milligrams of CBD - thus the bottle should last you longer since you take fewer drops per serving.
We recommend starting by first determining which product type you'd like to try - drops, gummies, capsules, lotion, etc. Then select a strength you think might be a good one to start with depending on the information in the next question/answer.
How much CBD should I take?
Because it is a natural remedy, there is no "prescribed" amount or recommended serving. Typically, experimentation is required to get the desired benefit you seek.
There are some things that affect how much someone might need. These include, but are not limited to: body size/weight, intensity of issue, and metabolism. So, someone who is larger or who has a severe issue or who has a high metabolism might typically use higher amounts than someone who is smaller or has a mild issue or who has a slow metabolism.
We typically recommend starting with a given amount twice a day for 2-3 days and see how you feel. If you get some benefit, but perhaps not enough, increase the amount or use it 3 times per day. If you get the benefit you seek but feel somewhat tired or sleep or less energetic than normal, reduce the amount or frequency. If you do not notice any benefit or change right away, keep using it for 2-3 weeks as some people need to build the CBD level up in their body. Again, some experimentation is typically required to achieve the desired effect.
Can I take CBD or CBG with my medication?
Most people use these products alongside their existing prescriptions/medications until they are able to stop taking any given prescription. However, we urge you to discuss this with your medical provider for your safety.
